Lab not working

Occasionally, users will encounter various issues using the lab site.  Even though the lab is unsupported, we have some solutions that may help get you up-and-running.     Please use Internet Explorer for all Nintex Exercises... we know, not our favorite either!   This article should fix a few common problems such as:  


  • inability to drag and drop items in Nintex Workflow,  
  • inability to sign out,  
  • inability to save.   

Enabling Compatibility Mode

   Switching Internet Explorer to "Compatibility Mode" will resolve many common lab environment access issues.  Follow these steps to switch IE to compatibility mode.        

Step 1: Click the settings gear in icon in Internet Explorer in the top right corner.

Step 2: Select "Compatibility View Settings"


Step 3: Type "" without quotes into the Add this website text box, then click the Add button.

Step 4: Click "Add".  This should move down to "Websites you've added to Compatibility View:" portion of the window. 

Step 5: Click "Close". 


Adding the Lab Site to Trusted Sites

Another possible solution for the lab environment not functioning properly is to add the lab site to Internet Explorer's Trusted Sites.  To do this, follow these steps.    

Step 1:  Select the setting gear icon located at the top right of Internet Explorer.  

Step 2:  Select "Internet options".  


Step 3: Click on the "Security" tab at the top of the window. 

Step 4: Select "Trusted Sites" in the area titled "Select a zone to view or change security settings." 

Step 5: Select "Sites".


Step 6: Uncheck the checkbox at the bottom of the window labeled "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone." 

Step 7: Type "" (without quotes) in the text field. 

Step 8: Click "Add" and the URL wil move down to "Websites:"

Step 9: Click "Close".
